Caller (a male) claimed to be from KBC Bank. He claimed to be calling in order to comply with new EU regulations about privacy, and I had to choose which type of emails I want to receive from KBC. I found it suspicious that KBC would hire some guy to call people at 7.30pm in the evening and record the calls in order to respect their privacy. That's not respect, that's invasion of privacy. He also wanted to know my date of birth, despite allegedly knowing it from his computed. He just wanted me to say it for some reason. For that reason I got the feeling it was a phishing call.

Opdringerige manier om afspraken proberen te maken. De marketingdienst van KBC gaat waarschijnlijk spreken van een assertieve succes campagne. Maar mij jagen ze er meer weg.

dit nummer belt wel 4 keer per dag en ook om 20u30 , is volgens agentschap hun call center maar een bank die zo laat belt???? Betekent dat hun klantvriendelijkheid niveau nul is, ik neem nooit op voor nummers die ik niet ken ,er zijn genoeg oplichters de dag van vandaag.

Ik gaf mijn email en geboortedatum....wat nu?

KBC info, maar....

Idd KBC. om een afspraak te maken voor het onderhoud met klanten. Het vreemde eraan was, normaal spreekt KBC dit steeds eerst via digitale weg en zal als laatste telefoon gebruikt om het te regelen. Dit gebeurde omgekeerd en ging niet uit van het kantoor waar ze me al kennen. Het lijkt fel op een vorm van phishing waarbij men met enkele vertrouwelijke gegevens te checken (email) vertrouwen probeerde te winnen.

Als je dit nummer ingeeft via Google dan kom je uit op een website van Kbc professional. Het nummer moet je bellen als je problemen hebt met 'Isabel'. Dat is een webtool voor profesionelen. Bij mijn eigen Kbc kantoor weten ze niets over een afspraak te maken en als ze dat zouden willen dat ze dan zelf bellen. Ze raden aan om het vooral te negeren en zéker geen gegevens doorgeven.
